CARMI – A Carmi woman wanted on a Failure to Appear warrant for Criminal Trespass to Land turned herself in at the White County Sheriff’s Office Monday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, a deputy was told that 37-year-old Christina K. McKay was at the front door of the sheriff’s office around 7:40 a.m. wishing to turn herself in on the warrant.

The deputy went to the front door and told McKay that she did have an active warrant for the offense we mentioned. The deputy told McKay to walk back to the jail with him. The deputy told the jail staff and McKay was booked into the White County Jail on the arrest warrant that was out of White County. The warrant was originally issued on May 13 of this year.
