CARBONDALE – A man is facing charges following a report of a burglary in progress at a commercial building in the 600 block of East College Street in Carbondale early Tuesday morning.

The Carbondale Police Department says when officers arrived at the scene around 3:50 a.m., they found evidence of forced entry and began a search of the building.

Officers located 43-year-old Brian C. Brennan of Carbondale hiding in the building. The investigation revealed that Brennan was in the process of burglarizing the building when officers arrived.

Officers charged Brennan with Burglary, Criminal Trespassing, and Possession of Burglary Tools. He was lodged in the Jackson County Jail.
