
CARMI – The Carmi Police Department will be issuing a physical and written examination for the position of Patrolman on Saturday, June 24 in the Carmi City Council Chambers on East Main in Carmi. The Council Chamber is located at the rear of City Hall.
Registration will begin at 8 a.m. with physical (Peace Officer Wellness Evaluation Report) testing to begin at 8:30 a.m. The written examination will be held at 11 a.m.
The purpose of the testing is to update the eligibility list of possible candidates for immediate police officer positions to be filled.
Anyone wishing to participate in testing must complete and return an application by 3 p.m. on Friday, June 16. Applications may be picked up anytime at the Carmi Police Department. They can also be faxed or emailed. The applicant should call 618-382-4663 weekdays between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to request one via fax or email.
