REND LAKE – You can give your Christmas tree another life by donating it to Rend Lake so it can be bundled with others and placed underwater to create fish habitats and improve angling opportunities.

Several drop-off locations are available:

Rend Lake
• Sugar Creek Parking Lot (Licata Road & Mine 24 Road)
• Dam West Boat Ramp (west side of Rend Lake Dam)

Mt. Vernon
• Veteran’s Park Softball Field – 800 S. 27th St.
• Optimist Park – 903 Pace Ave.

Marion
• Ray Fosse Park – Goofy Golf parking lot, 500 E. DeYoung St. (north of Hwy. 13)
• Pyramid Park – northernmost picnic shelter parking lot, 1300 Bevabeck Dr.

Tree donations will be accepted through Sunday.

No artificial or flocked trees will be allowed. All decorations, tinsel, stands and plastic bags must be removed.
