MT. VERNON – The Mt. Vernon Fire Department will continue fire hydrant testing, weather permitting, Tuesday through Friday of next week.

Testing will be done south of Illinois 37 and on Industrial Drive, Bethel Road, Woodlawn Drive and all of the Summersville area.

Residents are cautioned that testing can cause discoloration in the water supply in the area being tested.
