CARMI – A Carmi man is facing drug-related and other charges after he was arrested following a traffic stop late Thursday night on Sycamore and 8th Street in Carmi.

According to the Carmi Police Department, 37-year-old Dylan Gene Desper was arrested at the traffic stop after a vehicle pursuit just before midnight.

Desper was charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver (greater than 100 grams but less than 400 grams) – a Class X felony, Possession of Methamphetamine (greater than 100 grams but less than 400 grams) – a Class X felony, Unlawful Use of Property – a Class 2 felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving while License Revoked, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude a Peace Officer, and on a Tazewell County felony warrant for Unlawful Use of Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm: burglary/building/damage vehicle.

Desper was lodged in the White County Jail.
