CAVE-IN-ROCK – The Cave-in-Rock Ferry is temporarily closed due to high winds. The ferry halted service about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet office in Paducah, winds were reported out of the west at 15 mph with gusts to 29 mph. The forecast indicates winds will remain elevated through the day.

The ferry will remain closed until further notice.

The Cave-in-Rock Ferry will provide timely notice when winds drop to a point where service can resume.
