MARION – A recent traffic stop by Williamson County Sheriff’s deputies on Illinois 166 and Lake of Egypt Road led to a man’s arrest on charges including possessing adulterants (urine).

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says on June 30, the driver, identified as Travis L. Jones, was discovered to have an expired vehicle registration and suspended driver’s license. Jones was taken into custody for Driving While License Suspended without incident.

During the investigation deputies located multiple bottles of urine in the vehicle which were confirmed to be for the purpose of obtaining a job while thwarting drug testing.

Jones was issued citations for Driving While License Suspended, No Valid Driver’s License, Operating Uninsured Vehicle, and Possession of Adulterants.

Jones was taken to and remanded into the custody of the Williamson County Jail.
