MCLEANSBORO – The Paducah National Weather Service Office and the Illinois Emergency Management Agency will hold a presentation ceremony to recognize and officially accredit Hamilton County as StormReady Friday.

The ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. at the Hamilton County Courthouse on Jackson Street in McLeansboro.

StormReady is a national program unveiled by the National Weather Service in April 2000. A community must achieve a specific level of hazardous weather operations readiness in order to be accredited as StormReady.
