CARMI – The following information was released by the Carmi Police Department on Friday, February 24, 2023.

Forty-nine-year-old Adam J. Schexnayder of Carmi was arrested on a traffic stop on 12th and Gilpin for driving while license suspended and possession of cannabis in a motor vehicle on Friday, February 24, 2023. Schexnayder is being held in the White County Jail with bail set at $250.

Twenty-nine-year-old Rex Dalton Reel of Carmi was arrested in the 700 block of North Seventh on Thursday, February 23, 2023 for Disorderly Conduct, Assault and Interfering with Domestic Violence Reporting after multiple calls about domestic disputes involving Reel. A complaint was signed against Reel. He was taken to the White County Jail. His bail has not been set.
