Metropolis Woman Wanted on Two Warrants Arrested Sunday for Trespassing

METROPOLIS – A Metropolis woman wanted on two warrants was arrested on a trespassing charge following an incident Sunday in Metropolis.

According to Metropolis Police Chief Harry Masse, officers were called to the Speedy Mart on 12th Street after a caller said that 41-year-old Buffy J. Parker of Metropolis was in the store arguing with her and that she had previously trespassed from the property.

Parker had left prior to the police arriving, but she was located by officers at a home in the 1900 block of Ferry. Parker was arrested for Criminal Trespass to Property.

A computer check revealed that she was wanted on two warrants issued by Massac County – the first for Domestic Battery and the second for Criminal Damage to Property.

Parker was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center.
