(IRN) – An Illinois sailor who died aboard the USS West Virginia during the bombing of Pearl Harbor will be returned home to be buried with full military honors Nov. 15.
Keith Tipsword, a machinist in the Navy, will be buried in his hometown of Moccasin.
There were 105 total casualties from the ship with 60 unknown and unresolved sets of remains.
A project that began in 2017 has since identified 13 casualties.
