Carbondale Shooting Sends One to Hospital

CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police are investigation a shooting that sent one person to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Police said in a press release that Thursday at approximately 4:32 a.m., police responded to the 700 block of South Rawlings Street in reference to shots fired, where officers located an individual who sustained gunshot wounds and immediately began life saving efforts.

The Jackson County Ambulance Service responded and transported the victim to the hospital for treatment.

Police added preliminary information learned from the investigation indicated the involved parties were all known acquaintances of each other. There is not any suspect information and no known threats.
