MARION – The Williamson County Highway Department closed Dwina Road in Marion Sunday evening due to mine subsidence.

Dwina Road will reopen upon satisfactory inspection or repair of road and bridge, according to officials. Road and bridge repairs are anticipated to last two weeks.

Drivers are encouraged to seek other routes while the work is completed.
