Bond Set at $250K for Wayne County Man Facing Multiple Meth-Related Charges

WAYNE COUNTY (WRXX) – Bond was set at $250,000 Wednesday for a 59-year-old Wayne County man charged in Wayne County Court with multiple meth-related offenses.

Jesse Owen is facing three Class X felony charges – one for delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of methamphetamine, one for delivery of more than 900 grams of meth, and one for possession of more than 900 grams of meth.

According to reports, following a brief investigation, Wayne County Sheriff’s deputies located large quantities and cash in Owen’s residence.

Owen remains in the Wayne County Jail pending the posting of 10 percent cash bail on his quarter-million dollar bond.

He’s next scheduled to appear in court October 27 for a preliminary hearing and first appearance with his court appointed attorney.

Additional information is expected to be released from the sheriff’s office regarding this case. Additional arrests could be pending.
