Granite City Man Sentenced on Meth Charge in White County

WHITE COUNTY – A Granite city man was sentenced in White County Court Monday to prison on a meth charge.

According to White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud, 41-year-old Jason Hillmer will spend four years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for Possession of Methamphetamine, a Class 3 felony.

Aud said Hillmer had previously been placed on probation in October of 2020 after being arrested by the Carmi Police Department. However, after failing to comply with the conditions of probation, his probation was revoked with a new sentence imposed Monday.
