MURPHYSBORO – The Humane Society of Southern Illinois will hold a fundraiser called “Jigsaw Puzzles to the Rescue!” on Saturday, July 30, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the American Legion in Murphysboro.
Teams will compete to be the first to finish a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle. All teams will receive the same puzzle, which will be revealed at the start of the competition. The team to finish first or with the most pieces solved after two hours will win $100 and bragging rights!
Doors open at 5 p.m. A full dinner menu with beverages will be available for purchase, with service provided by the American Legion. Raffle tickets will also be for sale, offering more chances to win cash and prize baskets. The puzzle competition will begin at 6.
The entry fee is $100 per team of four. A limited number of individual tickets is also available for $25 each. Individuals buying single tickets will be placed at tables with other single ticket buyers. The single player table team size may range from 2-4 people. Those interested can register online today, or in person at the Humane Society Shelter at 95 Humane Road in Murphysboro.
Deadline for registration with entry fee is July 15.
