Two West Frankfort Men Arrested on Burglary Charges

FRANKLIN COUNTY – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two West Frankfort men related to recent burglaries and thefts in rural Thompsonville.

According to Franklin County Chief Deputy Kyle Bacon, sheriff’s office detectives as well as uniform deputies were able to develop suspects during the investigation and multiple search warrants were obtained and executed.

As a result, 37-year-old Dale R. Williams of West Frankfort and 41-year-old Nathen D. Karnes also of West Frankfort were both arrested and charged with Residential Burglary and Theft. In addition, Williams was also charged with Possession of a Weapon by a Felon.

Bond was set at $200,000 for each and both remain lodged in the Franklin County Jail.

Bacon said the investigation is ongoing and further arrests are possible. The sheriff’s office is thankful for tips provided from the public concerning this case.

Both subjects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
