CHESTER, Ill. – The Randolph County Courthouse in Chester closed Thursday after a bomb threat.

The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office said a bomb threat was called in Thursday morning. There was no indication that there was actually a bomb in the building, but a bomb squad from the Illinois Secretary of State Police did a full sweep of the building and cleared it.
