INA – A Tuesday morning fire has destroyed a home in Ina and claimed the life of the family dog.

According to the Jefferson County Fire District, flames were shooting from the home when they arrived around 5:45 a.m. Firemen said fire was shooting from the roof and three sides upon their arrival.
