A Saturday afternoon injury crash involving a golf cart in Wayne County sends four people to the hospital.
According to Illinois State Police, 29-year-old Elyse Wiser of Nashville was driving the golf cart east on County Road 50 North – a half-mile west of County Road 2150 East in Wayne County – when she lost control in loose gravel and overturned ejecting herself and her passengers.
Wiser and two of four passengers – a five-year-old girl from Nashville and 52-year-old Gina Wiser of Mt. Juliet, Tenn., were all flown to a regional hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The remaining two passengers, a 17-year-old boy from Barnhill, IL was taken by ambulance to an area hospital with serious injuries and 41-one-year-old Morgan Duckworth from Barnhill, IL,was not hurt.
Elyse Wiser was cited for Driving Too Fast for Conditions and Operating a Non-Highway Vehicle on Roadway.
