WAYNE COUNTY – Bond was set at $15,000 for a 27-year-old Norris City man arrested early Saturday morning in Fairfield on drug and weapons charges.
According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Levi Sork. Officers ultimately determined they had probable cause to search the vehicle and reportedly located a plastic bag with a substance that field tested positive as methamphetamine.
Deputies also reportedly located a stolen 9mm handgun underneath the driver’s seat of the vehicle, 9mm ammunition and also drug paraphernalia.
Sork was taken to the Wayne County Jail on preliminary charges of Armed Violence, Unlawful Possession of Firearm by a Felon, Unlawful Possession of Stolen Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Aggravated Unlawful Use of Weapon.
