Pritzker Announces $220M for Downstate Transit, Port Projects

(IOCI RADIO) – Gov. J.B. Pritzker announced nearly $220 million in Rebuild Illinois money for downstate transit and port projects.

During a press conference in the Metro East area, the governor said the funding will be used for several needs and will create new jobs as well.

Projects being funding include hybrid buses in Decatur, a phone system for the Shawnee Transit District, a dispatch software update in Warren County, and improvements at the Mid-America Intermodal Port Authority in Quincy.
