COVID-19 Hospitalizations at All-Time High in Illinois

(IOCI RADIO) – COVID-19 hospitalizations have reached an all-time high.

At the latest count, nearly 6,300 people were in Illinois hospitals with the virus, the most ever since the pandemic began.

Gov. J.B. Pritzker said the situation is “dire” and that healthcare workers are at their breaking point.

On average, 550 people with Covid in Illinois are admitted to the hospital daily, 90% of whom are not vaccinated.

The governor pleaded with the public to get their shots, mask up and get tested if they have any symptoms.
