Two Arrested After White County Crash Saturday

WHITE COUNTY – One person was injured among two arrested at two-vehicle crash on Route 1 in White County Saturday morning.

According to a preliminary report by Illinois State Police, 25-year-old Dylan A. Miller of Grayville was arrested for being wanted on warrant, unlawful use of a weapon and possession of cannabis after rear-ending 64-year-old David E. Carter of Carmi while traveling south on Route 1 near County Road 1800 N. Miller was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Also arrested was 35-year-pld Joseph R. Wampler of Grayville for being wanted on warrant and obstructing justice. Other passengers, including a 7-year-old juvenile driven by Miller and 67-year-old Barbara Carter of Carmi were uninjured.

Miller was additionally cited forĀ Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident, Driving While License Suspended, Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Wear a Seatbelt.

Miller and Wampler were lodged in the White County jail.
