Pedestrian Killed in Jefferson County Crash Wednesday Night

JEFFERSON COUNTY – The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified the pedestrian killed in a crash on IL 37 near Bonnie Wednesday.

Bonnie resident, 40-year-old Travis W. Jackson, was killed in the single-vehicle crash. The driver, 22-year-old Taylor B. Bizaillion of Tamaroa, was driving a gray 2015 Nissan.

When the first deputy arrived on the scene he reportedly discovered a pedestrian had been struck and killed. Illinois State Police traffic crash reconstruction was called to assist.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash Wednesday night near Bonnie that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.

According to Sheriff Jeff Bullard, around 10:47 p.m. Thursday, deputies responded to a single-vehicle crash on Illinois Highway 37 just north of Bonnie.

When the first deputy arrived on the scene, he reportedly discovered a pedestrian had been struck and killed. Illinois State Police traffic crash reconstruction was called to assist.

The driver, 22-year-old Taylor B. Bizaillion of Tamaroa, was driving a gray 2015 Nissan. The name of the pedestrian is being withheld pending family notification.
