Chicagoland Chamber Calls on Pritzker to Preserve Tax Incentives for Businesses

CHICAGO (AP) – Another business group is calling on Governor J.B. Pritzker to preserve tax incentives for Illinois businesses.

The Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce said eliminating the incentives is the “wrong track as businesses try to get back on their feet and rehire workers.”

Brad Tietz, the vice president of government relations, said now that the state has lifted business restrictions, this is a “bad time” to eliminate tax incentives.

Pritzker said eliminating the incentives will raise an estimated $655 million dollars.
