Two Fairfield Men Connected to Norris City Burglary Sentenced

WHITE COUNTY – Two Fairfield men were sentenced in White County Court Wednesday to the Illinois Department of Corrections in connection with a residential burglary that happened March 11 in Norris City.

White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud said 22-year-old Caleb M. Czak was sentenced to five years in IDOC with two years of mandatory supervised release for residential burglary, a Class 1 felony.

Eighteen-year-old Zachary D. Hurley was also sentenced to five years in IDOC with one year of mandatory supervised release for aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony.

Both men were also ordered to pay court costs and restitution to be determined at a future date. It was also recommended that both men participate in the Impact Incarceration Program while in IDOC. They were also co-defendants of Issac Anderson, who was recently sentenced in the March incident.

The Norris City Police Department was the investigating agency.
