Two Arrested After Carbondale Football Coach Struck

MARION – Two people were arrested after a postgame incident near the Carbondale Terriers’ locker room Friday night in Marion.

Moments after Marion had defeated Carbondale 54-29 to wrap up an unbeaten football season, and while Wildcats’ players and fans were celebrating on the field, Marion police officers and Williamson County deputies were called in for a disturbance outside the entrance to the Carbondale locker room.

Witnesses said those arrested both struck Terriers head coach Bryan Lee. Lee was taken to the hospital to be checked out. He was treated and released.

Further information about the arrests is not available at this time.
