Traffic Stop Leads to Carbondale Woman’s Arrest on Gun Charge

CARBONDALE – A Carbondale woman will face a gun charge after Carbondale Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle going the wrong way on a one-way street Monday night.

Police said during their investigation, they found an illegal firearm belonging to 18-year-old Aaliyah Lewis-Graham of Carbondale in the vehicle. Lewis-Graham was arrested without incident.

After consulting with the Jackson County States Attorney’s Office, Lewis-Graham was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and released pending court.
