Pritzker Touts Federal Relief Money to Reopen Schools

SPRINGFIELD – Gov. JB Pritzker touted federal relief money Monday set to help schools reopen and “get students back on track.”

Pritzker said the $7 billion for districts in Illinois will address obstacles created by the pandemic, the challenge of “returning to normal,” and making sure students aren’t falling behind.

The state issued a resource guide last week with suggestions on using the funding, including tutoring, summer school and after-school programs.
