SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) Sunday reported 2,250 new COVID-19 cases in Illinois, including 23 additional deaths. One death due to the coronavirus was reported among 15 new cases across southern Illinois.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 1,237,828 cases, including 21,251 deaths.
Local case breakdown:
- Franklin County: six, one death
- Williamson County: five
- Jackson County: four
The preliminary seven-day statewide test positivity from March 21-27 is 3.6%.
A total of 6,277,895 doses of vaccine have been delivered to providers statewide, including Chicago. In addition, approximately 414,900 doses total have been allocated to the federal government’s Pharmacy Partnership Program for long-term care facilities, bringing the total Illinois doses to 6,692,795.
A total of 5,528,422 vaccines have been administered so far in the state, including 366,892 for long-term care facilities. The seven-day rolling average of vaccines administered daily is 103,081 doses. On Saturday, 110,211 doses were reported administered.
