Marion Schools to Transition to Five-Day School Weeks

MARION – Marion Unit 2 students will be in school on Fridays starting the week of March 22.

The Marion Unit 2 School Board Monday night voted 4 to 2 to allow in-person learning five days a week from 8 a.m. to noon. Students were previously attending four days a week with remote learning on Fridays for most of the school year.

Officials said remote learning will remain an option for students and teachers will have to allow more time to plan for those students.
