Marion Closing Public Facilities Monday Due to Winter Storm

MARION – Due to anticipated worsening road conditions, subzero wind chills, and snow accumulation from the winter storm, the City of Marion announced they will close all public facilities Monday “in the best interest and safety of its employees and residents.”

The closure will affect the Marion Senior Citizens Center, Boyton Street Community Center, Marion Carnegie Library, the Hub Recreation Center, and City Hall.

Over the coming days, the City said with their partners they’ll continue to operate the Warming Center at the Marion Training Center at 211 East Boulevard Street and are still in need of volunteers. To sign up to volunteer, contact Cody Moake at 997-2612.
