Suspects Sought in Saturday Armed Robbery in Carbondale

CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police are investigating a Saturday afternoon armed robbery that allegedly happened in the 300 block of East Mill Street.

According to a Carbondale Police report, officers responded to the area around 2 p.m. where the victim reported that he agreed to meet with a female acquaintance in that area. While waiting on the acquaintance to arrive, two black male suspects armed with weapons approached the victim, demanding property from him. Both suspects took the stolen items and walked away from the scene. The victim did not report any injuries.

The first suspect is described as a black male, in his 20’s, standing 6′ tall, weighing 145 pounds, wearing a black winter hat, a black and white bandana across his face, and a black coat. This suspect was carrying a handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male, in his 30’s, standing 5’8′ tall, weighing 170 pounds, wearing a black winter hat and a puffy grey and white jacket. The second suspect was carrying a knife.
