MCLEANSBORO – The Hamilton Memorial Hospital District (HMHD) said officials are awaiting COVID-19 vaccine allotments, including for those who are aged 65 and older, from the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).
Currently, all COVID-19 vaccine allotments available for Hamilton County residents are exclusively coordinated directly through the local Hamilton County Health Department.
Officials noted there is no estimated date of when HMHD will directly receive a COVID-19 vaccine allotment for residents in Phase 1B.
Phase 1B includes continued vaccines for frontline essential workers and those who are 65 plus in age with underlying comorbidities and conditions that put them at a higher risk for complications from COVID-19.
HMHD said officials will provide updates via local media on COVID-19 vaccination opportunities at the facility when vaccine is made available by IDPH.
