Identity of 11-year-old Marion Girl Killed Over the Weekend Released; Investigation Ongoing

Marion – The identity of an 11-year-old Marion girl who was killed over the weekend has been released. According to a release from the Williamson Co. Sheriff’s Office, the death of 11-year-old Jade Marie Beasley is under investigation. She was found dead in her home on Songbird Road just northeast of the Marion city limits on Saturday. The Williamson Co. Sheriff’s Office says that a person of interest has been identified and that there is no threat to the general public. They are asking that anyone with any home surveillance security cameras along Songbird road help by providing any traffic footage from between 9:30 that morning and 12:30 that afternoon. The Williamson Co. Sheriff’s Office Major Crime Squad and Illinois State Police are handling the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Williamson Co.
