Suspects Sought in Attempted Theft Investigation in Carbondale

CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police are looking for two people who attempted to steal items from a mailbox and vehicle Nov. 5.

According to police, the victim had his personal data hacked at his place of employment and learned the suspects filed for unemployment in his name. Police believe the suspects then came to his house looking for the unemployment benefits in the mailbox.

The first suspect is described as a white man, standing 6’5″ tall with a red beard and a gray hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is described as a black man with long dreads, wearing a blue t-shirt with red sleeves and baggy jeans. The suspects were confronted by the victim and they fled the area in a cream-colored Chrysler 300.
