ULLIN – Shawnee Community College will welcome a new school president Wednesday after announcing the selection of Dr. Tim Taylor to the position.
According to a release from the college, the board of trustees made the announcement at their regular meeting Tuesday, stating that Dr. Taylor’s hire “follows an intensive presidential search process that included utilizing community input through online forums and a select committee comprised of stakeholders from throughout the college district.”
The release cited Dr. Taylor’s extensive background in academic leadership, community partnerships, and performance-based curriculum design, adding that he “brings tremendous depth and leadership focused on student success.”
Dr. Taylor previously served as campus president at Oakland Community College in Oakland County, Michigan. He will serve as the college’s ninth president.
