MCLEANSBORO – The McLeansboro City Council is looking to take advantage of Rebuild Illinois money by making sewer improvements in the city.
At a special meeting Monday, the council voted to set aside $80,000 in city taxpayer money for initial work to get the grant. City leaders are seeking almost $5 million in grant money for the improvements.
The city is working with Shawnee Professional Services to get the grant money for McLeansboro.
