WHITE CO. – A Carmi man was sentenced in White County Monday to seven years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for unlawful delivery of methamphetamine (a Class 2 felony) at the conclusion of a contested sentencing hearing.

In a release, White County State’s Attorney Denton Aud said 40-year-old Jason P. Schneider will also serve two years of mandatory supervised released after his time in prison.

Schneider delivered methamphetamine to a confidential source of the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force back in January.
