SSM Health Enacts Temporary No-Visitor Policy for Southern Illinois

CENTRALIA – SSM Health announced Monday a temporary suspension of visitors for patients at their healthcare facilities in southern Illinois.

According to a release, only in “specific circumstances” will visitors be allowed, as the organization cited safety concerns for patients, visitors, physicians, staff and the communities.

SSM Health operates Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia and two express care locations.
