SPRINGFIELD – Several southern Illinois housing authorities will receive federal money for management improvements as well as the development, financing, and modernization of Public Housing properties.
In a press release Thursday, Congressman Mike Bost’s office announced over $20 million in grants to be awarded to housing authorities in Illinois’ 12th U.S. House District.
Some of the local housing authorities to receive money include the Jefferson and Perry County Housing Authorities receiving about $800,000 each, and the Williamson and Franklin County Housing Authorities each receiving more than $1.7 million.
