Last Electronic Recycling Event in Carrier Mills Happening Saturday

CARRIER MILLS – The last monthly electronic recycling of the year in Carrier Mills is Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon (or until the trailer is full) at the Carrier Mills Municipal Building parking lot on N. Mill St.

Any objects that can be plugged in are required to be recycled. Electronics can no longer be thrown away or taken to a landfill.

Console TVs and big screen TVs are recyclable for $10. Small screen TVs, computer monitors, and small flat screens are $5 to be recycled. All TVs and monitors will cost $10 to be recycled beginning in January.

Due to recycling costs, the following items are no longer accepted for free: vacuums, microwaves, printers, DVRs, VCRs and copiers now cost $1 to be recycled.

This event is not limited to Carrier Mills residents. Anyone from the area may bring electronics to be disposed of properly. Tires and paint are no longer accepted.
