Radio News Legend Ray Taliaferro Found Dead in Paducah

Paducah – A California radio legend that went missing in Paducah has been found dead. Paducah police have confirmed that a body found Sunday afternoon is that of missing California resident Ray Taliaferro. Two teenagers found the body in a wooded area off South 25th Street and Brooks Stadium Drive. Taliaferro was reported missing on November 10th to the Massac County Sheriff’s Department. Taliaferro hosted the KGO Newstalk AM-810 show in San Francisco from 1 to 5 a.m. for years, starting in 1986. Taliaferro was inducted into the National Association of Black Journalists Hall of Fame in 2011. An autopsy is pending, and the investigation is continuing.
